Barcelona is in a tough financial situation. Despite this, the club is rumored to be looking to strengthen the team during the upcoming summer window.
The club has previously been rumored to be interested in Napoli’s Khvitja Kvaratskhelia, but the Georgian is expected to be too expensive. This means that the Catalans have had to focus on other transfer targets and now Spanish information claims that the club has called in two players as the highest priority.
Sport reports that the club want to try to sign Athletic Club’s Nico Williams as well as Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. The duo play together in the Spanish national team and are seen as relatively cheap options.
Williams’ current agreement with Athletic Club includes a buy-out clause of 50 million euros, equivalent to 584 million kroner, and Sport writes that Olmo is said to be willing to meet the club regarding his personal terms in order to achieve a move.
It has also been reported that the club may need to sell players in order to create some form of maneuvering space during the summer. Now Sport writes that the club is willing to listen to bids for Ferran Torres, who has not come into his own since the move from Manchester City.
