The other day Italian Calciomercato stated that Arsenal would not activate the option year in Jorginho’s expiring contract. Juventus were said to be interested in the 32-year-old midfielder, who would then leave Arsenal for free this summer.
Now The Athletic comes with other information on the matter. Arsenal reportedly offered Jorginho a new contract, which the Italian international is expected to sign. Thus, Jorginho looks set to stay at the London club for at least one more year.
Jorginho joined Arsenal in January 2023 and has played 51 games for “The Gunners”. He has previously played for, among others, Napoli and Chelsea.
