Ange Postecoglou has announced with certainty that things will happen in Tottenham’s playing squad when the transfer window opens. And already now work is being done to row an early recruitment in port.
Football Insider claims that Spurs have held discussions with Nottingham Forest over a potential purchase of Morgan Gibbs-White, 24. According to the site, Newcastle are also in the hunt with the London club currently in “pole position”.
Nottingham Forest, penalized with four minus points this year, are under financial pressure and will likely be forced to sell players this summer to get their books in order. Gibbs-White is one of the highest rated in the squad.
The 24-year-old has a price tag of 60 million pounds, which corresponds to roughly 816 million kroner. It remains to be seen if any of the aforementioned clubs are ready to face it.
Gibbs-White, who is under contract until 2027, has six goals and ten assists in 41 games this season. The Englishman is versatile and can play in pretty much any offensive position. Hence, he becomes a competitor to Dejan Kulusevski in the event of a transfer to Tottenham.
