Bayern Munich have announced that head coach Thomas Tuchel will leave this summer, and are looking for a new coach. So far, Bayern have been missed by both Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso and Austria’s national team captain Ralf Rangnick, and at the moment it is uncertain who will replace Tuchel for next season in the Bundesliga.
Now the German newspaper Bild states that Jose Mourinho has his eyes on the Bayern job, and has turned down other jobs to be ready for the German big club. According to the newspaper, the 61-year-old has also been reading German for some time.
Earlier this year, the same newspaper also reported that the Portuguese is interested in the assignment.
Mourinho got the kick from Roma in January this year. He has previously coached Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham, Inter, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
