Inzaghi confirms: “We have signed Taremi from Porto”

Inter sign Mehdi Taremi, 31.
This is confirmed by the Italian champion’s coach Simone Inzaghi.
– Yes, we have signed him from Porto, says Inzaghi according to Fabrizio Romano.

It’s been rumored to be done – now it’s confirmed.

Late on Saturday evening, following Inter’s 0-1 loss to Sassuolo at the Maipei Stadium, Blues coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed the club’s first signing of the summer: Mehdi Taremi joins as a Bosman player when the Iranian international’s contract with Porto expires at the end of the season.

– Yes, we have signed Mehdi Taremi on a free transfer from Porto. He is a great player by international standards. He scores a lot of goals. So we are very happy with that signing, says Inzaghi during a press conference after the Sassuolo match according to Fabrizio Romano.

Taremi was close to signing for Inter’s local rivals Milan last summer, but the Reds and Blacks could not agree with the player over the salary envelope.

The 31-year-old has been credited with nine goals and six assists in 32 appearances for Porto across all competitions this season.
