Osimhen Responds to Critics with Goalscoring Encore

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen silenced his critics with yet another impressive performance, scoring in consecutive games to lead his team to victory. After their 4-1 win over Udinese, Napoli continued their winning streak with a 4-0 triumph over Lecce, temporarily moving up to third place in the standings.

Lecce entered the match with a strong start to the season, but it was Napoli who made the early breakthrough. Leo Skiri Østigård displayed great determination as he headed in a free kick from Piotr Zieliński, giving Napoli the lead.

In response, Lecce showed their fighting spirit and created several promising chances. Nikola Krstović came close to equalizing with a long-range shot, but Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret made a fantastic save to deny him.

At halftime, Napoli knew they had to step up their game and prove themselves as champions. Just five minutes into the second half, Victor Osimhen capitalized on a cross from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and headed the ball into the net, giving Napoli a comfortable lead.

Although Lecce continued to push forward, Napoli maintained control of the game. Roberto Piccoli had an opportunity to score with a header, but it hit the side netting. The outcome of the match was never in doubt, and Napoli sealed their victory with a goal from Gianluca Gaetano and a penalty converted by Matteo Politano.

This win marks a turning point for Napoli, as they continue to gain momentum in the league. It is the first time since December 2020 that they have avoided consecutive scoring blanks on the road, demonstrating their improved form.
